Those with mosaic (with form capability) can try it out at http://jupiter.sun.csd.unb.ca:7000 In the "SPACE" section, there is an option to get the latest satellite keps... This option will let you compute satellite trajectories based on info that you enter using the pull down menus. Another thing I wrote is an online callbook which executes an expect script to search for a callsign but that has been done already and isn't very exciting.. The guts to the keplerian element thing I wrote was from "n3emo orbit" ..... a very much hacked apart orbit. It outputs in HTML format and runs in batch mode using a single command line argument as provided by mosaic using the "GET" option in the forms.. later Derek VE1DJB -- |Derek J. I have traksat and it is really great and dead easy : to use. TrakSat 3.00 or something earlier? I've run 2.7, 2.8 and 3.0, and it appears to me that 3.0 takes a step backwards. OK, it's completely re-written in C, and it has nice pull-down menus plus a couple of new [relatively small] features, but it's slower than 2.8, the map it draws for ground-tracks is distorted (stretched out vertically), AND it's buggy (it crashes my PC easily if I make minor configuration errors). I have a list of a number of bugs that I'm about to send to the author, along with registration money for version 2.8! I'm sticking with version 2.8 for now! TrakSat 2.8 is clearly my favorite tracking program, and I've tried most all of the publicly available ones at one time or another (though I must admit PCT is pretty nice too). Anyone else have similar experience with the "new" TrakSat? --Shannon, DL6SEU Stuttgart, Germany ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Mar 1994 18:07:26 GMT From: news.acns.nwu.edu!math.ohio-state.edu!howland.reston.ans.net!agate!library.ucla.edu!csulb.edu!csus.edu!netcom.com!wroth@network.ucsd.edu Subject: SATNODE ???
